Frank McCright aka DJ Love originally hails from Oklahoma, but has called Dallas, Texas home since 1997. Love has an extensive musical background as a classically trained pianist and violinist as well as a drummer and guitarist. He was also a radio disc jockey on Lawton, Oklahoma’s pop radio station KMGZ Magic 95 in the late 80’s and early 90’s. He got his start DJing in clubs in 1988, a year after, discovering and falling in love with underground dance music, early house music, and hip-hop. Frank began producing in 1994 where he started his breakbeat/hip-hop label Stellar Music which has released singles globally since 1997. He’s worked, remixed, and produced for artist like Dub Pistols, Skeewiff, Special Ed, Camp Lo, Fort Knox Five, and more. His music has been licensed on several compilations and is currently available on all streaming platforms.

DJ Love has toured and played in well-known venues around the globe in cities like Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, NYC, DC, London, Bangkok, and more. He’s also held many long-running residencies in some of Dallas’ legendary and historical clubs like The Lizard Lounge, Red Jacket, Club One, just to name a few.

Love performs 100% vinyl DJ sets, something he’s stuck with since his start in ’88. He adds a variety of flavor to his mixing with musical phrasing, blends, scratching, and cutting, all on vinyl,
